Why

Translating an article on prime numbers started an odyssey into numbers that turned out to be the basis for measuring. It had such an inner logic, such a compelling zest for working on the next ‘natural step’ that I could not have done anything other than follow my intuition.

Listening to that same inner voice made me also stick my neck out to organising an event for Dr. Muhammad Yunus – back at St. James’s – where I started my ‘public life’ in London.

Since 3D Metrics is fundamentally about education as lifelong learning, it fits Dr. Yunus’ definition of a ‘social’ business.

With Yunusphere I’ve brought myself up to blog speed.¬†Fortunately, I have been aided and supported by a small and precious group of friends and family.

Lately, I have also been helped by a few ‘women returners’ for whom ‘keeping up with technology’ is more important than money.

And thus I am proud to have stuck to my guns, getting more and more the feeling that I have been ahead of my time and that the Zeitgeist is at long last catching up.

“If a man (or a woman!) does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.”

Henry David Thoreau (1817 – 1862)
